After several years of research and development by both companies, in 2020 Hallotex and Textil Santanderina started up the first mechanical textile recycling plant with the output destined for the fashion industry (Tangier, Morocco).
The recycling plant performs activities such as waste classification, shredding processes of post-industrial textile waste and pre and post-consumer waste.
The recycling plant is strategically located very close to the knitting mill, which considerably reduces the distance and logistics during production.
The capacity of the Plant is 1.000.000 kgs , with a forecast of an expansion.
